musicaxlosanimales is a music collective with a single belief: art has the power to change the world. Every song we release is dedicated to a cause bigger than ourselves.
Our Story
It started with a whale named Motitas.
Gabriela heard a recording of a humpback whale off the coast of Costa Rica and couldn't stop thinking about it. That sound — ancient, vast, and full of longing — became the seed of our first album.
She reached out to marine biologists, conservationists, and fellow musicians. The question was simple: could music raise awareness and funds for the animals whose songs inspired it? The answer became musicaxlosanimales.
Today we are a growing collective of artists, activists, and animal advocates. We release music, tell stories, and channel every dollar we can toward the organizations doing the real work in the field.
The Animals We Champion
Every creature has a song.
We focus on animals whose existence is threatened by human activity — and whose stories deserve to be heard.
Humpback Whales
Their songs travel thousands of miles through the ocean. Noise pollution, ship strikes, and entanglement in fishing gear threaten their survival. We fund research and rescue.
Migratory Birds
Billions of birds migrate across continents every year, navigating by stars and magnetic fields. Habitat loss along their routes is devastating populations worldwide.
Street Animals
In cities across Latin America, millions of dogs and cats live without shelter or care. Our local partners run spay/neuter programs and rescue operations.
