A wildlife refuge and educational nature center on the road to Barra de Potosí. They protect native species, restore habitat, and connect the community with the natural world around Zihuatanejo.
Ayotlcalli
Sea turtle rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation center on Playa Blanca, Zihuatanejo. They protect leatherback, black, and olive ridley turtles in critical nesting zones along the Guerrero coast.
Surfers for Strays
A volunteer-run non-profit working in Troncones, La Saladita, and the greater Zihuatanejo area. They combine surf culture with local activism — running spay/neuter campaigns and rescuing dogs along the Guerrero coast since 2017.
Humanimal Fest
A cultural festival bringing together music, art, and activism around animal rights — a gathering space for collectives, artists, and organizations that share the cause, near Troncones.
Eco Tianguis Sanka
A Saturday ecological market on Playa Principal, Zihuatanejo, run by the local vegan cooperative. They promote responsible consumption, circular economy, and community connection.
